A standard HydraFacial treatment at Ritual Skin Lounge typically takes between 30 and 60 minutes depending on the specific protocol and any additional boosters or enhancements included in your treatment. It's the perfect lunchtime facial — you can come in on your break and walk out glowing with absolutely zero downtime.

Absolutely none. The HydraFacial requires zero downtime, which is one of the many reasons our clients love it. You can return to your normal daily activities immediately after your treatment. Some clients may experience very mild, temporary redness that typically fades within an hour or two. We do recommend applying SPF after your treatment and avoiding direct sun exposure for at least 24 hours to protect your freshly treated skin.

While you technically can, we recommend giving your skin a little breathing room after your HydraFacial and skipping makeup for the rest of the day if possible. Your skin will be deeply cleansed, freshly hydrated, and absolutely glowing — trust us, you won't want to cover it up. If you do need to apply makeup, wait at least a few hours after your treatment and always apply SPF first.

The HydraFacial requires very little preparation, which is part of what makes it so convenient. We recommend arriving with a clean face free of heavy makeup if possible. Avoid using retinol, exfoliants, or active skincare ingredients for at least 48 hours before your appointment. If you are currently taking Accutane or have had any recent facial procedures or laser treatments, please let your esthetician know in advance so we can ensure your treatment is safe and appropriate for your skin.

If you are pregnant or nursing, we always recommend consulting with your physician before booking any professional skincare treatment. While the HydraFacial is generally considered a gentle and non-invasive treatment, certain boosters and serums used during the treatment may not be recommended during pregnancy.
