A custom facial at Ritual Skin Lounge is a fully personalized treatment designed specifically around your unique skin type, concerns, and goals. Unlike a standard facial that follows the same steps for every client, our custom facials are tailored from start to finish — meaning your esthetician will assess your skin and handpick the right combination of techniques and products to address exactly what your skin needs that day. No two custom facials are ever the same, because no two skin types are either.
-
Our custom facials are designed to treat a wide range of skin concerns including acne and breakouts, dryness and dehydration, hyperpigmentation and uneven skin tone, fine lines and signs of aging, enlarged pores, dullness, sensitivity, and uneven texture. Because every treatment is fully personalized, your esthetician can target multiple concerns within a single session — making it one of the most effective and versatile facial treatments available
-
Depending on your skin type and concerns, your custom facial at Ritual Skin Lounge may incorporate a variety of techniques and modalities including oxygen infusion, exfoliating enzymes, chemical peels, customized masks, LED light therapy, dermaplaning, facial massage, lymphatic drainage, and scalp massage. Your esthetician will select only the modalities that are most beneficial for your skin — nothing more, nothing less.
-
Not sure where to start? That's exactly what we're here for. We recommend booking a comprehensive skin consultation before your first facial so your esthetician can assess your skin, discuss your goals, and recommend the best treatment plan for you. If you're ready to dive straight in, our custom facial is always a great starting point — it's designed to adapt to whatever your skin needs most on the day of your appointment.
-
Absolutely. One of the biggest advantages of a custom facial is that it can be fully adapted to even the most sensitive or reactive skin types. Your esthetician will always conduct a thorough skin assessment before your treatment and select only the gentlest, most appropriate modalities and products for your skin. If you have known allergies, sensitivities, or skin conditions, please let us know before your appointment so we can ensure your experience is safe and comfortable.
-
Arrive with a clean face free of heavy makeup if possible. Avoid using retinol, exfoliants, or active skincare ingredients for at least 48 hours before your appointment. If you have recently had any facial procedures, laser treatments, or are on any medications that may affect your skin — such as Accutane — please let your esthetician know in advance. The more information you share with us, the better we can tailor your treatment.
-
Most clients notice an immediate improvement in their skin's texture, tone, and overall radiance after just one session. However, for more targeted concerns such as hyperpigmentation, acne, or signs of aging, a consistent series of treatments will deliver the most dramatic and lasting results. Think of each facial as a step in your skincare journey — the more consistently you show up for your skin, the better it responds.
-
In most cases, there is little to no downtime after a custom facial. Some clients may experience mild redness or sensitivity immediately following their treatment, which typically subsides within a few hours. If your facial includes more active modalities such as a chemical peel or dermaplaning, your esthetician will advise you on any specific aftercare instructions to follow. We always recommend applying SPF after your facial and avoiding direct sun exposure for at least 24 hours.
