What is brow lamination and how does it work? Brow lamination is a semi-permanent treatment that restructures your brow hairs, allowing them to be brushed up and set into your ideal shape. A gentle lifting cream is applied to soften the hair structure, followed by a setting solution that locks everything in place. The result is smooth, fluffy, perfectly sculpted brows that look fuller and more defined — without the need for brow makeup. At Ritual Skin Lounge, every brow lamination includes a precise wax to clean up the edges and define your shape.
-
Brow lamination results typically last 4 to 6 weeks, depending on your hair type, skin type, and how well you follow your post-care instructions. Those with oily skin may find their results fade slightly faster, as natural oils can soften the lamination over time. We recommend booking your next appointment every 4 to 6 weeks to maintain your look.
-
Absolutely. Brow lamination is a wonderful option for sparse or thin brows because it creates the illusion of fullness by smoothing and lifting the existing hairs into a uniform, sculpted direction. While it won't create hair where there isn't any, it can make even the finest brows look significantly fuller and more defined. For clients with very sparse brows, we may also recommend a brow tint to enhance the appearance of density.
-
Brow lamination is generally safe for most skin types, including sensitive skin. However, if you have particularly reactive skin, eczema, psoriasis, or any active skin conditions around the brow area, please let your esthetician know before your appointment. We will always perform a thorough consultation before your treatment to ensure it is safe and appropriate for your skin. A patch test may be recommended for clients with known sensitivities.
-
In most cases, yes — brow lamination can be performed over microbladed or tattooed brows. However, we recommend waiting until your microblading is fully healed before booking a lamination appointment, which is typically 6 to 8 weeks after your procedure. Please let your esthetician know about any previous brow treatments so we can tailor your service accordingly..
-
Arrive with clean, makeup-free brows and avoid tweezing, threading, or waxing for at least two weeks before your appointment — we need as much natural brow hair as possible to work with. Discontinue use of retinol or exfoliating products around the brow area for at least 48 hours prior to your visit. If you have any known skin sensitivities or are taking any medications that may affect your skin, please let us know in advance.
-
After the first 24 hours, you are welcome to wear brow makeup as usual. Most of our clients find they need little to no brow makeup after their lamination — which is kind of the whole point! We recommend avoiding heavy, waxy brow products that may weigh down your newly laminated hairs and affect the shape over time.

At Ritual Skin Lounge, every brow lamination appointment includes a professional brow wax to refine and define the edges of your shape. After the lamination is complete, your esthetician will carefully remove any stray hairs and clean up the perimeter of your brows for a polished, precise finish. The wax is fully customized to complement your natural brow pattern and the shape we've created during your lamination.
